Permanently Delete Facebook Messages
How To Delete Messages Permanently From Facebook
Step 1. Click the "Messages" symbol on your Facebook homepage. The Messages symbol lies in the top left corner and also looks like 2 tiny overlapping speech bubbles.
Step 2. Click the discussion including the message or messages you wish to remove. If it is not detailed on the preliminary Messages pop-up home window, click "See All" to check out all of your exclusive messages. Click the discussion on that list containing the message you intend to erase.
Step 3. Click the "Actions" button and then click "Delete Messages" on the Activities drop-down menu.
Step 4. Click the check boxes located alongside the messages you want to delete.
Click "Delete" and after that click "Delete Messages" to confirm that you intend to delete the selected messages.
Tip
To erase a whole conversation instead of specific messages, click "Delete Conversation" after clicking the Actions menu in the third step.
Caution
Erasing a private message in your Messages inbox does not erase it from the inbox of your conversation companion.
